THE IMPACT OF THE DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY TO THE SPIRITUAL AND MORAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITIZENRY OF LAGOS STATE (A CASE STUDY OF SURULERE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA)
ABSTRACT
The fact that there is a lot of cases of the prove of how the Deeper Christian Life Ministry has tried to make an impact in the people of Lagos state, its result or outcome cannot be over estimated.
A thorough observation revealed the good that teaching of the Bible church is doing, in the life of the people of Lagos state. If they should continue like that the life of many people will be transformed.
More people will benefit from their teaching especially the say programmes that they normally do every four, four years. The success academic for youth (say 2002) especially, really contributed a lot. The five schools that the researcher visited believed that the Deeper Christian Life Ministry has really contributed great quota in to the life of the citizens of Lagos state. Both teachers and students respondents effectively to the questions that was asked by the researcher, they all believed that the Deeper Christian Life Ministry teach the Bible effectively and make the youth of Lagos state to be useful to their selves and the society as a whole.
The data collected was analyze in a percentage (%), this will make the researcher to know the number of who respondent to the questions that was asked. The church has also helped most women in Lagos state to know how to take good and proper care of their selves, they told them the kind of food to be eaten that will make them to live without sicknesses or illnesses i.e. how to live in good health.
This prompted me to evaluate the impact of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry to the spiritual and moral life of the citizens of Lagos state.
Also, to see if this project will help in making known to a vast lot of people especially those who are in Lagos state.
Finally, there are also suggested tips on how to encourage this ministry to continue their good works especially on the youth and of course how to add more to the teaching for the people to benefit more effectively and efficiently.

INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND TO THE STUDY
The Deeper Christian life ministry is occupying an area in Ayodele Okeowo Street Gbagada in Lagos state metropolis near Bariga. It was founded in 1973 by a university lecturer then, William Folorunsho Kumuyi in Lagos State.
Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi being a former university lecturer then, is a rare combination of God’s rich and matchless grace and the rigorous discipline of the academic. He became a lecturer in the university of Lagos during his post graduate diploma in the year 1973, and that was when he started a small group called Deeper Life Bible Study.
His intelligence, foresight and distinctive leadership style have pedestalled him as one of the greatest Christian leaders and teachers of our time, because in recent time our society have been engulfed with negative in descent, abnormal, unacceptable attitude but through the teaching and ministration of pastor W.F Kumuyi the life of many people have been transformed in the city of Lagos state, particularly in surulere area.
Pastor Kumuyi is a gifted man, clear – thinking and humble, he is a good counselor and also a dedicated Christian and deserves the title “the man of God” which his followers have given him. Pastor Kumuyi has devoted his time in studying the word of God i.e. “THE HOLY BIBLE”. He knows the scriptures inside out and he has struggled to understand and apply them.
Through Pastor W.F Kumuyi many youth to day have turned to better spiritually, morally, academically, maritally and financially. His preaching has turned or transformed bad groups to good.
Pastor Kumuyi’s teaching and ministration has really contributed a great and wonderful quotas towards the growth and development of the society. Infact, his teaching and ministration has really eradicated corruptions among the youth today, some youth are 98% serious with their studies today, they can now write examinations by their selves without expo or cheating in the examination hall due to the pastor’s emphasis on the implication of cheating in the examination’s hall.
The life of many have changed from grass to grace, now we can talk of widespread of literacy in Lagos state, we can see accountants, teachers, engineers, pilots, doctors, lawyers, professors etc.
In conclusion, many people have spoken about the church positively for the changing of life of their youth.
- PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
The purpose of the study is to investigate and examine the impact of the deeper Christian Life Ministry to the spiritual and moral life of the citizens of Lagos state.
The purpose of the study is to know whether the impact of the church spiritually and morally has really affects the life of the youth of Lagos state effectively.
The purpose of the study is to carryout the positive impact of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in the life of the youth of Lagos state and to also know if this youth life is really affecting other people’s life positively outside the country or Lagos state.
The purpose of the study is to really know if the Deeper Christian Life ministry has done good to the citizens of Lagos state by transforming their life.
Furthermore, the purpose of the study will also examine the contributions of the church to the moral and spiritual development of the people of Lagos state.

1.6 SIGNIFICANT OF THE STUDY
- This study is significant in the sense that it will unveil the impact of the Deeper Christian life Ministry to the moral and spiritual life of the citizen of Lagos
- It will view and educate student of the church on the history and the contributions of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry to the moral and spiritual life of the citizens of Lagos.
- It will enables the youth of Lagos state to know how the church has effect their life weather positively or negatively.
- It will enable the youth of Lagos state to know how the church has contributed its quotas towards the growth and development of the society.
- It will expose the youth to the secrete of been successful in life.
- SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF THE STUDY.
The study will be limited to the Deeper Christian Life Ministry and selected people of Lagos state alone due to time, financial and other constraints.
- DEFINITION OF TERMS
Impact is the powerful effect that some thing has on somebody, it is also the one object hitting another. It can also be seen as the ability to hit something with great force.
Spiritual is the act of being connected with the human spirit, rather than the body of physical things, it can also be connected with religion aspect. It can also be seen as a religious song of the type originally sing by black slaves in America.
Moral is the principles of right and wrong behaviours, it is also based on ones sense of what is right and fair, not on legal right or duties. It is the standard of behaviour considered acceptable and right by most people.
Another name for moral is honorable which means able to understand the difference between right and wrong. It is the standard of principles of good behaviour especially in matter of sexual relationships.
Youth is the time of life when a person is young especially the time before a child becomes adult. It is also the quality or state of being young i.e. a young man.
