This is not a responsibility that can be bestowed on any authority or society or sector but must be shared by range of agencies and organization.
Statement of the Problem
This study focuses on the effect of information communication technology (ICT) on secretarial education in secondary schools in Agege Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Therefore, the major problem of the study is to highlight the role of information communication technology (ICT) on secretarial education in secondary schools.

- In addition, the study is aimed at discussing whether the information communication technology should be encouraged or discouraged.
- To focus on the problems and prospect of information communication technology to secretarial education.
Research Questions
The following research questions are generated in order to be able to carry out this study:
- To what extent has information communication technology (ICT) contribute to secretarial education in secondary schools?
- To determine the competencies in the use of computer software of the teachers.
- To determine the efficacy of new technology system over traditional technology.
- Do secondary school teachers have adequate knowledge, skills and experience in the use of computers?
Research Hypotheses
For the questions of the research work, the following statements are deduced to examine the role of information and communication technology in secondary schools.
Ho1 There is no significant relationship between information communication technology and secretarial education.
Ho2 There is significant relationship or difference in the experience of teachers and use of information communication technology (ICT) in secondary schools.
