The history of Dr. Virendra Swarup education center
In 1985, Dr.Virendra Swarup founded the Shri Ram Institute of Engineering & Technology, which was the first institute in Uttarakhand. In 1998, he established the Shri Ram Academy of Higher Education & Research, the first private engineering college in Dehradun which offers Bachelor’s degrees in various engineering branches along with Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering and MBA courses as well.
Meerut Education Centre
The All India Bhimrao Ambedkar Students’ Association (AIBASA) set up ‘Education Center’ on 14 December 1991 in Meerut to make available various educational resources free or at low cost. The main activities carried out by these centers include distribution of study material, running tutorial programs, counseling etc. They also take care of problems related to admission process and give scholarships on special occasions like ‘Deeksha Divas’, ‘Dalit Divas’ etc., There are total 21 schools / education centres spread all over UP/Delhi NCR/Noida having more than 10000 regular students & 5000 regular teachers. Every year about 10-15000 new students join us for academic support. A well trained team of 20 full time teachers provides coaching classes for +2 courses.
The Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre was established in 2008 with a view to providing quality education at affordable costs. It is situated at Sector – 32B, Noida which is one of the prime locations of Noida City .
From a humble beginning it has today become a fully-fledged centre offering CBSE syllabus under 10+2 pattern from Class VIth to XIIth besides diploma courses including Computer Course, Engineering Drawing and Fashion Designing etc.. This centre has produced outstanding results since its inception as many of its alumni have excelled not only nationally but internationally as well! Mr. Pradeep Kumar is at present managing director of Virendra Swarup Education Centre (VSEC). He is a young dynamic person with vast experience in management & administration.
Virendra Swarup Education Center Agra
Currently, it is being used as Career Counseling Center to create awareness among people about education, employment and other opportunities available in the market for a better future. It is situated at Agra at Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre Building (Bangla Sahib). The job oriented training sessions are held here and Free Counseling for career/educational guidance is provided to youth of Agra city. Nearly 200 students per month visit EC-Agra for career counseling and thousands benefit from free web services provided by ecentreindia which aims at creating opportunities through self reliance on Information Technology along with seeking good jobs in countries like USA, UK, Singapore etc. All of these activities are done under one roof i.e., in Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre building(Banga Sahib) in Agra . These efforts have led to opening up new avenues for youth of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand & Madhya Pradesh including Delhi NCR regions who have got placed successfully abroad via Government Quota Seats after completing their studies from various colleges affiliated with State Board and Central Board Examinations including BITSAT (JEE) conducted by AICTE New Delhi.
Virendra Swarup Education Center Varanasi
The ‘Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre’ has its origins in a one-room school established by Prakash Chandra Shukla and his wife Usha Rani Shukla at Mughal Sarai on 17 June 1951. In 1964, when India was celebrating her silver jubilee year of Independence, that little school moved to Varanasi and became part of Banaras Hindu University (BHU). In 1969, it moved again to Vikramshila complex inside the BHU campus. When BHU decided to close down their educational centres outside the BHU campus, it was renamed as Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre (DSEC) in 1978. Since then DSEC has been functioning from Gyan Kuteer Complex inside BHU campus since 1984 till date with classes ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade in Hindi medium with English as second language option for secondary level students.
Educational Programmes at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan
Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan is conducting a number of educational programmes like regular courses, short term courses and special courses in different fields to make people aware about their duties towards themselves, nation and humanity at large for its all-round development, peace and prosperity through character building training & personality development programmes. Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan has launched Gyan Ganga project under which knowledge seekers from all parts of the world can come to India to study Vedas, Upanishads and other ancient texts which were written thousands years ago but still remain relevant for today’s world as well as Indian culture & values are considered unique because it teaches us some lessons of life that are applicable even today. Pupils from all corners of the world come here for learning Vedas, Upanishads etc.
Academic Achievements
Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre has been established in 2004 by a dynamic group of entrepreneurs and academicians to spread higher education facilities at affordable cost to all sections of society, especially underprivileged groups such as Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and rural areas etc., and other economically weaker sections to fulfill their dreams for acquiring higher education. It is located on NH-24 (Delhi-Dehradun Highway) about 15 km from Delhi Border near Dhaulana (Haryana). The institute campus is spread over an area of 10 acres with modern infrastructure facilities including air-conditioned class rooms, internet facility, library, cafeteria and hostel. The centre provides quality education in various disciplines like Management Studies, Computer Applications & Technology, Arts & Commerce etc. The Institute has a well qualified faculty team comprising experienced and dedicated teaching staff who are experts in their respective fields. Our students have done extremely well in both UG/PG level examinations conducted by CBSE/UGC/AICTE/DEC, state boards or any other recognized institution. They have also won laurels at various national and international competitions organized by government agencies or private organizations. At present there are more than 3200 students studying here which includes around 250+ PG students pursuing MBA & MCA Programmes. The centre has emerged as one of the most preferred destinations for obtaining high quality professional education among thousands of aspirants every year. This centre has also made its mark in various prestigious educational bodies like the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), University Grants Commission (UGC), Distance Education Council (DEC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) etc. The Centre was granted recognition by AICTE during 2005 and DEC during 2006. Under AICTE approval scheme it offers MBA programme affiliated to Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar and approved by DEC under distance mode scheme it offers BBA Programme affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak and BCA Programme affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
Awards and Recognition
In recognition of his outstanding service to medical science, National Book Trust, India awarded him a grant for research in alternative medicines; at present he is working on a project funded by UNICEF and American Aid with one of India’s leading scientific institutes (IIM), Calcutta as a collaborator. He also received awards from Govt. Of Haryana, Univ. Of Haryana, Panjab University Chandigarh etc. His recent award was Doctorate Degree conferred upon him by the University of Mysore.
In 1995 & 1998 he was awarded the Best Teacher Award from Panjab University Chandigarh & Govt. Medical College Chandigarh respectively. He is also a recipient of Doctorate Degree conferred upon him by Maharashtra University in 1999, Kurukshetra University in 2001 and Haryana Sanskrit Academy, Bhiwani in 2002. The President of India awarded him with Rashtriya Gaurav Award for his outstanding contribution to alternative medicine on 9 March 2005 at New Delhi. Dr. Virendra was awarded a honorary membership of the Indian Society for Integrated Medicine (ISIM) in 2005 and FICCI Award for Excellence in Alternative Medicine 2007 by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). Recently President Pratibha Patil honored him with Nanaji Deshmukh Award on 5 February 2009 at New Delhi. This award is usuallly given every year to a single person who works for the development of rural areas. His book Natural Home Remedies, published by Diamond Pocket Books, New Delhi won prestigious WH Smith Award (UK) in 2008. This book is now being translated into German language as well as many other languages including French, Spanish etc. His book Superfoods published by Diamond Pocket Books, New Delhi won prestigious NABE Pinnacle Book Achievement Award 2010 in USA which carries prize money of $10,000/- It has also been selected as an official entry for 2010 International Book Awards held at Los Angeles-USA.
